The final word (part 1)

The one word, that I do not want to hear, even one more time, for the rest of 2009 is:
.
...
......
"Octomom!"
... No matter what!
What annoys me most, is that her stupidity has been rewarded, and she got everything she ever dreamed of, out of it. I don't believe the sins of parent should be the burden of the children, not at all. But she has been elevated by a society that's shallow and insincere, to believing that everything will turn out fine. And if it doesn't, OMG, she'll never fall of the News Cycle- agh, where do I contribute?

What? You didn't think I was stupid enough to think this was the final word I would have about EVERYTHING, DID YOU?

And he landed back in hell

...It's a line from the Devil's Story book! Which was about good people getting the BEST of the devil in this case, and evil people getting what they deserve. It is pure politics (at it's rawest) to PRETEND to be offended, not to mention being hypocritical.

Phil Jackson, coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, got in trouble last year for his comment about what went wrong with the game in Dallas whom they should have beaten easily. And he responded; "The coaches call this a 'Broke Back Mountain' game." And everybody laughed, for the cleaver way he said something very vulgar, of a common sports expression. But once we're talking Gay Cowboys here, the funny had to be salted with condemnation, rather than let go with a don't say things like that! And the League actually tried to force Jackson to apologize for his remarks, which kind of came out like this; "I'll be happy to apologise to any cowboys offended by my remark. But nobody is forcing any of those guys that laughed, to apologise to anyone?"

You know where this is going; For hours, before I got to see the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, who's guest was our current president. I heard nothing but crass cracks about the insensitivity of the president's dumb off the cuff joke, from evening news shows to chat hours. Which watching the show, I hardly noticed go by! The bomb of the century was not noticeable? President Obama said, talking about his horrible bowling score that he was proud of; "I know, kinda Special Olympics." AND THAT WAS THE MOST OFFENSIVE THING EVER SAID, in self deprecation on TV? I smell hypocrisy, in the air? I don't care how you feel about this, the point is that history says there is a world of difference between Olympics, and the Special Olympics, when it comes to world records. It was not a personal insult or attack on the games. Just find me a Down Syndrome child that can beat Tiger Woods, and I'll call for an apology too- seriously!

Life is not fair, and we all know it, which is why The Games exist. However, wagering on the events is in very bad taste, as tempting as it might be! Who here did not laugh at Monty Python's Upper Middle Class Twit of the Year Contest?

My point is, that in life, it's easy to offend those you had no intent on offending. There is a big difference between Amos & Andy, and accidental backhanded humor mark that goes a rye. Everybody let Laura Bush's remark about the FEMA shelters being; "better than most of their homes"- go? Which is why I smell hypocrisy in the air, if you get my point?

Some things are so petty, you win no political bonus points by trying to engage people's social outrage. We are smarter than that- don't ever imply that we're stupid as you think we are- the results will not be what you expect! Which is another common theme of the Devil's Story Book.

And by the way, there is a history of Down Syndrome in my family- so I'll let you write your own joke here, with no apology expected! It might not be appropriate to laugh, but you all will anyway.
-:)

Update: The President's nervous laugh, makes you nervous? Please- hypocrite! Barry is a fun guy, who laughs when he's nervous- I know, because I do it too, a lot of people do! It has nothing to do with sincerity, or commitment to cause.

My point is, that this is exactly what turns off the average guy on the street, about politics, spin! Everything is spin. Clear sign that you are going to remain the minority for a while longer.

Lets do the timewarp again

This last week we have been talking Visual Basic, which I haven't used in a few years. Not since I found PHP. Anyway, Microsoft is GIVING a version away for free. So what's the catch?

Dilbert.com

No really, that kind of sums it up!
I wanted to draw a line on a picture box. It use to be this easy in VB:

Picture1.Line (startx, starty)-(endx, endy), linecolor

I have no idea, what they've done to it? Line is no longer method of a picture box? I don't have time to relearn whatever the fuck they're doing- I've got to make a living, sometime! Glad I switched to Linux.

Here's my review of Visual Basic, versions 1-6 (which I used back in the day): A great idea, that was easy to use. But totally screwed up by the company that brought it to us! From Version 1 to version 6, every time anything was updated in Windows, you had to recompile the code, to match those changes. Including and particularly upgrades of Internet Explorer, and Office. Between these two things alone, they managed to break all 3rd party software developed with their tools, such as VB. You know what Microsoft is good at? It's not innovations, it's creating their own job security.

The new one; Visual Basic Express- it had better be free- it's going to be a huge, unrewarding, time vampire! It's like EVERYTHING that is wrong with Object Oriented Programming, was built into this! And you know what we call that? Java!

(By the way, this is embedded courtesy of Dilbert.COM- Go ahead and click it, you'll see what I mean.) It was just very ironic that I ended my day, finding this cartoon. It might not be as funny to you- but it will be, soon enough, the way things are going!

Going out of Business Sale, or hexed

...No, I'm not revisiting that rant, again!
Nor is this, in anyway true, about me!

Point is, that I'm going to need time for my other projects in the next few weeks, so don't look for frequent updates for a while. And every time I say that, the jinx kicks in. But I do mean it every time. Recently, a close friend geeked out; and echoed my panic message back to me; "Should I be sending flowers?"- the answer as usual is no! I'm just actually having a life for a change.

I am having a little health issue at the moment, and while it's quite uncomfortable, I don't think it's all that serious, and it should pass in a few days (I hope- this is not the first time). If I suddenly die however, I'm going to be quite embarrassed- Randy, killed by a little green grape! So knock on wood, cross your fingers or toes, or forehead, or whatever it is that gives you empowerment for good fortune, to turn a health crisis around. I really don't think it's that big a deal. I'm just trying to turn the jinx against itself, while staying as cryptic as I can, until it fades away. This repeat problem, just a little worse this time around. I know what caused it, and I think I can avoid making it worse, without medical assistance. I should get better in the next couple of days.

This my personal curse. It goes after my transportation, and if that fails, then it turns on my health! I bought a excellent condition Tacoma, so it's betting the crap out of my body, instead. On the bright side, it should mean, that I'm coming into money again, if it wants to force me to give it all to doctors. Which, resisting all these things, should force the hand of fate, to give my hacker a renewed vigilance, which I don't know how that accomplishes anything, it just annoying, like a rash!

Like a good meal, there is something good in the air, to have is level personal attack happening to me, at this time. And I've got projects to do, so if you excuse me for a while. (James 4:7) And some of you thought I couldn't do that promise box Christian thing; Ha!

I just think that too many of you, spend too much time on knees, being way too old fashion. Today we should say, resist the temptation of fundamentalism. I warn all my conservative friends about being on the wrong side of history- liberals always win in the end because of Truth! The Bible has proven time and time again, not to be 100% truth, with a capital T. It's about the human condition, and it is just as flawed, and political as anything else. Just because some goat herder was wrong about God making the UNIVERSE in 6 days, doesn't shrink God, only the goat herder. Knowledge of the Bible is important to understanding the culture of the West. If Jesus teaches us nothing else, he teaches us that it's ok to find a jewel of truth, and a promise to make personally yours, and to live your life based on fulfillment of that promise. That is faith, not the collection plate on Easter Sunday. Sorry to inform Christians of this, but the Church is no longer our central government, and is therefore relieved of certain duties, that it wasn't exactly good at in the first place!

It's Sunday, and a boring one, enough for me to have a sermon for you- Go live some life! I shall return shortly, with good news, I hope.
