And he landed back in hell

...It's a line from the Devil's Story book! Which was about good people getting the BEST of the devil in this case, and evil people getting what they deserve. It is pure politics (at it's rawest) to PRETEND to be offended, not to mention being hypocritical.

Phil Jackson, coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, got in trouble last year for his comment about what went wrong with the game in Dallas whom they should have beaten easily. And he responded; "The coaches call this a 'Broke Back Mountain' game." And everybody laughed, for the cleaver way he said something very vulgar, of a common sports expression. But once we're talking Gay Cowboys here, the funny had to be salted with condemnation, rather than let go with a don't say things like that! And the League actually tried to force Jackson to apologize for his remarks, which kind of came out like this; "I'll be happy to apologise to any cowboys offended by my remark. But nobody is forcing any of those guys that laughed, to apologise to anyone?"

You know where this is going; For hours, before I got to see the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, who's guest was our current president. I heard nothing but crass cracks about the insensitivity of the president's dumb off the cuff joke, from evening news shows to chat hours. Which watching the show, I hardly noticed go by! The bomb of the century was not noticeable? President Obama said, talking about his horrible bowling score that he was proud of; "I know, kinda Special Olympics." AND THAT WAS THE MOST OFFENSIVE THING EVER SAID, in self deprecation on TV? I smell hypocrisy, in the air? I don't care how you feel about this, the point is that history says there is a world of difference between Olympics, and the Special Olympics, when it comes to world records. It was not a personal insult or attack on the games. Just find me a Down Syndrome child that can beat Tiger Woods, and I'll call for an apology too- seriously!

Life is not fair, and we all know it, which is why The Games exist. However, wagering on the events is in very bad taste, as tempting as it might be! Who here did not laugh at Monty Python's Upper Middle Class Twit of the Year Contest?

My point is, that in life, it's easy to offend those you had no intent on offending. There is a big difference between Amos & Andy, and accidental backhanded humor mark that goes a rye. Everybody let Laura Bush's remark about the FEMA shelters being; "better than most of their homes"- go? Which is why I smell hypocrisy in the air, if you get my point?

Some things are so petty, you win no political bonus points by trying to engage people's social outrage. We are smarter than that- don't ever imply that we're stupid as you think we are- the results will not be what you expect! Which is another common theme of the Devil's Story Book.

And by the way, there is a history of Down Syndrome in my family- so I'll let you write your own joke here, with no apology expected! It might not be appropriate to laugh, but you all will anyway.
-:)

Update: The President's nervous laugh, makes you nervous? Please- hypocrite! Barry is a fun guy, who laughs when he's nervous- I know, because I do it too, a lot of people do! It has nothing to do with sincerity, or commitment to cause.

My point is, that this is exactly what turns off the average guy on the street, about politics, spin! Everything is spin. Clear sign that you are going to remain the minority for a while longer.
